Ok, so I'm going to totally honest with you...writing a book is really super hard. The amount of work, the motivation, the determination, the commitment, so on and so forth, it will really take a toll on you. But don't fret! There is a way for you to deal with all of this. And trust me, if you're a huge procrastinator like I am *guilty look* then we're friends.
The Writing Process: Where am I Right Now? So, this questions is actually a bit intimidating, to be honest. Haha. Because sometimes I feel like I'm all over the mess and I'm not really sure exactly where I am in the writing process. Nevertheless, I can tell you that my manuscript is already done. I already proofread, removed and/or added scenes to the book and now...I wait. Yes. I'm waiting simply because I'm currently trying to find an editor who would be willingly to edit my book professionally! Tada! Professionally as in getting rid of those annoying grammar mistakes so that you guys won't cringe, tightening sentences so that they have a nice flow, fixing up your character and so on. So, that's what I'm currently doing. I'm leaving my book alone as I go on a pursuit to find myself an editor. What's next? Finding a publisher who would actually publish your book! I'm doing self-publishing so it's really difficult than having a literary agent. However, keep in mind, that with editor, they will take a long time to edit your book and then, once they finish with your manuscript, they will send it back to you so you can correct all the things they had changed to your book. And even after all that, you still have to send it back to the editor for the final touch-up and if you and your editor feels content, this is where you start looking for a publisher. It's no easy task and even if you do find a publisher, you may have to wait certain amount of time for them to publish/make your book. But it's okay. Patience is key to success: as the saying goes, patience is a virtue. Remember, to take things slow and don't rush. Not only will it hurt you as an author but it will also hurt your book as well. Other Projects? Of course, I will be working on other projects but as of right now, I'm currently working on the sequel of Fire Wave and after the sequel, I will be working on the third and final book of Fire Wave. When Fire Wave is completely done, I'm not sure if I will ever go back to the world of Fire Wave only because I do want to pursue other writing projects that I have in mind. Once those are completed, then who knows? Maybe. But for now, I'm only focusing on the sequel. Do you guys work on one or more projects at a time? How do you handle patience?
